From Preeminent Israeli Producer: Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc Blend

Established in 1993, Tzora is Israel’s first Kibbutz-based winery. Pioneer grape-grower Ronnie James’ vision of improving Israel’s international wine profile is now realized through the eye’s of James’ successor, Eran Pick, Israel’s first and only Master of Wine.

Tzora’s Judean Hills Blanc is made from Chardonnay (75%) and Sauvignon Blanc (25%) grapes grown on old terraces in the Shoresh vineyard. The vineyard is characterized by shallow Terra-Rosa soil with subsoil of limestone. The wine went through cool fermentation and Sur-Lie aging for 8 months in French barriques and stainless steel tanks. The wine did not go through malo in order to retain the natural acidity and freshness of the wine.

Judean Hills Blanc is firmly structured and maintains complexity which reflects the character, natural acidity and quality of this unique vineyard. It will continue to develop in the bottle over the next several years. Kosher, Kosher for Passover. Non-Mevushal.
