Vegan, Semi-Dry Delightful Israeli White
In 1882, Michael and Malka Chamiletzki first set foot upon the land of Zichron Ya’akov, after emigrating from Lithuania. He was chosen by Baron Edmund de Rothschild to plant and develop vineyards in the area. The family settled in nearby Shefeya, which is today surrounded by numerous vineyards, and began to cultivate the earth. In 1925, the family hosted the famous poet, Chaim Nachman Bialik. In honor of their warm hospitality, the poet proposed a new, Hebrew family name: “Tishbi” – an acronym standing for “a resident of Shefeya in Israel”. ת׳ש׳ב׳י
From Tishbi’s Zichron Ya’akov vineyard comes this delightful white wine. Emerald Riesling is a cross of Riesling and Muscadelle, first crafted at the U.C. Davis, in 1936. The variety produces white wine that is known for its high acidity (a Riesling trait) and grapey flavor (inherited from Muscadelle). Tishbi’s Emerald Riesling is a light-bodied wine with floral aromas. It has a unique character expressed by its fruity aromas and floral finish, filled with wonderful fragrances of ripe melon and nectarines. Pair with fish, cheeses, salads and appetizers. Semi-Dry. Kosher, Kosher for Passover, Vegan.
