From renowned winemaker Alisa Jacobson (Joel Gott Winery)

We are super excited to begin to offer wines from renowned winemaker Alisa Jacobson. Northern Californian native Alisa began her professional wine journey upon completion of her viticulture and enology degree from UC Davis. She has made wine throughout California, beginning her career at Joseph Phelps, and eventually at Joel Gott winery, where she serves as the VP of Winemaking, managing a team of 30 people and overseeing all winery and vineyard operations in California, Oregon and Washington State.

Alisa’s philosophy focuses on developing wines that offer the true expression of the fruit from each vineyard site.

The Turning Tide is special project from Alisa. All of the wines are farmed with organic practices and an emphasis on the principles of regenerative agriculture. Her 2018 Turning Tide Chardonnay is sourced exclusively from the Donnachadh Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills. Grapes were picked in the early dawn hours to preserve both freshness and flavor. The wine is aged in neutral Burgundian oak barrels for 8 months with limited sulfur additions. The aromas are expressive, and lead to a supple wine with broad layers of flavors and bright natural acidity.
