From Argentina’s #1 certified organic winegrower comes this multi-scored red blend. Social responsibility is part and parcel of Santa Julia’s mission, and the winery supports programs that help educate the employees and their families, provide production-related projects and Fair Trade programs as well as create a cultural center. It is truly doing good while making great wine.

The 2019 Santa Julia Reserva Malbec-Cabernet Franc (Mountain Blend) is 70% Malbec/30% Cabernet Franc. The grapes were harvested manually in the Valle de Uco, Mendoza. Classic fermentation with selected yeasts from estate vineyards. Part of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 10 months.

The color is purplish red of medium intensity. On the nose you’ll get complex, typical Malbec aromas of red and black fruits such as cherries and plum jelly. Cabernet Franc provides other notes of tomato leaves and spices. On the palate the wine is full bodied, and displays elements of black fruit and medium tannins, making a perfect combination, translating into an elegant and complex wine of great concentration.  92 Points James Suckling, 91 Points Robert Parker/Wine Advocate, 90 Points Decanter Magazine.
