Vegan Friendly Israeli Chardonnay
Binyamina Winery was founded in 1952 by Joseph Zeltzer. He immigrated to Israel from Hungary infused with a passion to continue being a winemaker, as he’d been in his country of birth. Zeltzer originally named the winery Eliaz, after his son who fell in battle during Israel’s War of Independence in 1948. He soon began making wine in the center of what was then considered Israel’s official wine region. After changing hands throughout the 20th century, the winery was purchased in August, 2008 by private investors who recognized the winery’s immense potential and sought to continue its role as a leader in Israel’s wine sector.
Back in 2018, in honor of the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel and the 95th anniversary of the Binyamina settlement, the Binyamina Winery has created the “Moshava” series of wines for the colony.
The 2021 Moshava Chardonnay is an aromatic white wine. It is fermented only in stainless steel tanks to preserve the characteristic aromas of the varietal: green apple, pear and grapefruit. The wine is dry and has a refreshing and pleasant acidity balanced by the ripe fruit. The harmonious wine has a light body with a balanced and pleasant finish.
Vegan, Kosher, Kosher for Passover. Mevushal.
