2021 Gilgal Brut Sparkling Wine Golan Heights Winery
Golan Heights Winery, one of Israel’s leading producer of quality wines, was established in 1983 by four kibbutzim and four moshavim (cooperative communities). From its founding until today, the Winery has made its mark and expanded its influence on the Israeli wine world. Its establishment changed the local wine map and shaped the perception of wine quality in the mind of the Israeli consumer.
The 2021 Gilgal Brut Sparkling wine is a 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from vineyards in the northern Golan Heights, Gilgal Brut is produced strictly according to the traditional method, with quality pressing of whole clusters and secondary fermentation in the bottle. Each bottle ages for a minimum of one year prior to disgorging. This effervescent sparkling wine exhibits bright yet delicate notes of orange blossoms and green apples, layered with hints of tropical fruits, wild strawberries and fresh flowers.
Serve with any number of rich or salty foods, such as liver paté, caviar and sushi — or enjoy as an aperitif.
